HFF 2016 plays host to the filmmakers representing many of our featured films. Are you a filmmaker looking for an introduction? Allow us to help. Simply stop by the check-in table and talk to us. We’ll make sure you get that introduction.

Jury Prizes

We understand filmmakers, especially social impact storytellers, don’t make movies to gain accolades.

None the less, here at HFF we advocate for the independent filmmaker and we believe there is value in being recognized for your work. We would like to do that.

The Festival will present a number of Prizes. These prizes will to be presented to winning filmmakers include exceptional distribution opportunity prize packages.

The HFF’s Curated Conversations are a filmed series of informal candid discussions between artists, innovators, and influencers. Discussions will consider Hollywood as an evolving global industry, a thriving local community, and an historic entertainment brand now facing an exciting but uncertain future.

Each Curated Conversation, hosted by an industry leader will center on a specific theme. The diverse group of invited guests is curated from our own global HFF community. They are sure to have interesting, informed and opinionated views on each of the subjects presented. We will gather together for you leading innovators among Cinematic Storytellers, Content Creators, Change Agents, Social Activists, Brand Builders, Research Educators, Technology Innovators, Industry Influencers, and Impact Investors.

The overwhelming question in Hollywood today is “What is the future of Hollywood?” From Netflix original series to 6-second vine videos, online content is planting its flag on the Hollywood stomping grounds now more than ever. Some say the days of watching TV are over while others argue that streaming content won’t last forever. At the Hollywood Film Festival, our job to find content that is socially impactful and radiates positivity in the world, no matter what platform it is distributed on. “Streaming Saturday” taps into this new generations streamers by inviting them to the Hollywood  table in order to answer that overwhelming question and to also find out if streaming content will be able to hold its place in this ever so changing industry.
